Diet, kai/food and nutrition
Nourish Your Body, Feel Your Best
Kai/Food should fuel your life, not hold you back! Our skilled team is here to help you discover how the right nutrition can make all the difference to how you feel every day.
Whether you're dealing with digestive challenges like coeliac disease, Crohn's, or IBS, managing diabetes or high cholesterol, or simply wanting to eat well and feel confident in your body – you don't have to figure it out alone. We can support you or a member of your whānau/family with the following:
Digestive disorders that affect daily life
Diabetes management
Heart-healthy eating to manage cholesterol
Weight management that's sustainable and kind to yourself
Healing your relationship with kai/food
Nutrition needs to enable you to age gracefully
The best part? If you meet the referral criteria, these consultations won't cost you a thing. Just chat with your doctor or nurse practitioner about getting started and a referral to our service.
You deserve to feel good in your body and enjoy your meals.
Our dietician understands that everyone's journey with food is different, and they're here to create a plan that works for your life, your tastes, and your goals.
We accept referrals directly from people who need our services, their whānau, health professionals, and other support providers. Fill in a referral form or call to discuss your needs.
Podiatry and nail care
Your feet carry you through island life every day – they deserve some extra care! We understand that foot health becomes more important as we age or when managing health conditions, and we're here to help you stay comfortable and confident with two different options.
Our monthly podiatry clinic is designed for locals with a chronic health condition or who have a disability and whose health could deteriorate due to a foot condition. A referral from your provider is required to see the podiatrist.
And let’s face it, sometimes the simple things become harder to manage on your own as you mature and that's perfectly normal.
Our monthly toe nail cutting service is designed for our kaumatua/older community members, who find it challenging to care for your toenails independently. We offer gentle, professional toenail care from a trained health care assistant. This isn't just about foot care – it's about maintaining your independence, comfort, and confidence and a helping hand with routine care. We're here to support you with kindness and respect, with no referral needed for toenail cutting.
Because everyone deserves to feel steady on their feet.
Social worker
Life can bring unexpected challenges, and sometimes we all need support. Our caring social worker is here to walk alongside you and your whānau/family, building on your strengths to find solutions that work.
We can help with:
Confidential counselling and emotional support
Family difficulties and relationship challenges
Accessing healthcare and disability services
Connecting you with the right community resources and financial supports
Navigating paperwork and systems to help you access what you are entitled to
Planning for a positive future
Every conversation is confidential and judgment-free.
The social worker works with you to find the support you need.
Ready to take that first step? You’re very welcome to contact us to book an appointment with our social worker. Because everyone deserves support and hope for brighter days ahead.
