New Patients

You can choose Ostend Medical as your regular provider for general practice healthcare. Being enrolled with us means you are eligible for subsidised GP and Nurse Practitioner consultations, along with a range of other subsidised services available through Ostend Medical Centre.

As part of the Waiheke Health Trust, you also have
access to additional services including:

Community Nursing, Well Child Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Podiatry, Speech Language Therapy, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Home Support Services, X-ray and Ultrasound and Meals on Wheels.

Enrolling is simple.
If you need help, feel

free to call or email us

Complete the patient enrolment form and health questionnaire
(download online or collect at reception).

Bring your ID: Passport or birth certificate (NZ residents/citizens),
or 2-year work visa (if applicable).

Bring your completed forms and ID to our reception to finalise registration.
We’ll set you up on our online portal for prescriptions and lab results.

Allow up to 10 working days for your records to transfer - once received,
we’ll book you for a comprehensive new patient appointment with a nurse.

In the event of a medical emergency call 111.

If you need non-emergency care outside of business hours, you can book
an afterhours appointment with a GP or Nurse Practitioner by calling:

Ka Ora Telecare on 0800 252 672. Ka Ora’s GPs can provide patients with prescriptions and refer patients to Hato Hone St John for urgent care.

After Hours provided at Waiheke Medical Centre (132 Ocean View Road, Oneroa) on Saturdays from 9:30am - 4:00pm and Sundays from 9:30am - 1:30pm.
